But no one’s path is clear, especially that of anti-hero Jaime Lannister (played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) who has had his fair share of ups and downs on Game of Thrones.
However, it could be his storyline comes down to Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) in the end.
It would certainly see the events of the HBO show come full circle given the history between the pair of them.
Redditor Fayeleeurr has theorised that Bran could turn on Jaime and the knight may be in for a similar fate to Petyr Baelish.
Fans will remember the very first episode of the series saw Bran pushed from a window at Winterfell after he saw Jaime having sex with his own twin Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).
Bran’s journey has seen him develop his warging powers and sight-seeing abilities into becoming the Three Eyed-Raven, but remnants of his old self still remain.
The fan wrote: “Jaime may have indirectly set the path for the Three-Eyed Raven’s future, but he destroyed Bran’s. Hence, I have a strong feeling that Bran won’t react well to Jaime’s presence.
“At all. Plus, let’s not forget Bran’s part in executing Baelish, with the visions and dagger (it almost seemed like he knew what would happen when he handed it to Arya).
“I’m not saying Jaime will be subject to a similar fate, but perhaps Bran – and the Starks – won’t be nearly as forgiving as everyone thinks.”
The end of season seven saw Jaime leave his sister’s side to head northwards after she refused to pledge her armies to help fight the White Walkers.
Bran was last seen in Winterfell, where he used his flock of ravens to see the army of the dead advancing over the wall.
So will Jaime and Bran’s reunion be a bloody one?
As the viewer suggests, Jaime could meet a similar fate to Petyr whose throat was slit by Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).
Bran was instrumental in Petyr’s slaughter and he was even killed with the dagger that was used in the attempted assassination of the Stark boy.
But viewers will have to wait and see what happens to Jaime.
